Day 1 of Challenge
So this is day one of my weightwatchers/study for phd exams challenge!
I have goals, but I always make too many goals and then fail over and over again. So this time I am making just a few goals that I think are almost attainable, rather than being crazy out of reach.
Goal 1: Actually track my WW points, EVEN WHEN I GO OVER. This way I acknowledge my mistake and don't pretend it didn't happen.
Goal 2: Weight loss. I have a crazy, unattainable goal for the future. But that is not gonna happen right now. I joined a challenge on WWs that is 10 lbs a month for 10 months. That's just a couple of lbs a week. So right now I am looking for 2 lbs weight loss per week. That is totally do-able.
Goal 3: Focus on school work. I have been in a really big rut. Like huge. And I am ready to commit to reading all this shit for my exams in April. So I have to get in gear and not waste a ton of time. So I have a goal of achieving my reading goals each week.
Goal 4: Go to the gym. I actually went and did the elliptical 3 times last week and then again today. I have NEVER gone that many times in such a short time period (8 days). That is a huge achievement in itself. And being obsessed with TV, I think that if I pledge to watch my shows while on the machine, then I will go and will not be watching TV when I actually should be studying.
So those are my goals. Totally do able.
Also, just to toot my own horn, I just needed to finish that episode of BL and I went for 58 minutes on the elliptical and went, get ready for it.... 6.4 miles! Go me! I hope to keep that up and some day get to 10!!!
So wish me luck!
